Friday Night Football: Colquitt County at Lassiter

Georgia Public Broadcasting will have coverage of the Georgia high school football playoffs all the way to the championship game at the Georgia Dome. This week, we feature a first round match up between Colquitt County and Lassiter. Click here to watch the games online!

Colquitt County is coming off an upset victory over Stephenson High School. Can their miraculous Road to the Dome roll on? Will Lassiter be able to continue its string of dominating performances, like last week's 70-49 drubbing of South Gwinnett?

Both schools are known for more than just their great football teams, of course. Colquitt is home to Georgia's 2008 Teacher of the Year.

Lassiter, in turn, was awarded the Georgia Public School of Excellence in 1992,1999 and most recently 2008.

Both schools, this far into the playoffs, have made their marks in football, and this Friday night's contest promises to be a classic. Good luck to the Packers and the Trojans!
